Motorcycle Driving Course A1
The course provides comprehensive preparation for the Module One and Module Two tests. The course covers hill starts and angle starts from cars that are parked and also basic road skills like controlled stopping and emergency response.

Theory
The course will provide all the theoretical preparation you require for the test. You can learn on your own with online lessons as well as theoretical material. After enrolling in our system you will receive instructions on how to participate in these classes remotely in the virtual classroom (in Finnish). You can then choose the best schedule to meet your needs.
In this stage, you will learn the basics of motorcycling from your instructor. You will be taught about the rules of the road and safety tips and also some of the more complex parts of the vehicle. In addition to the necessary information for all licence categories, you will also be familiarised with the special requirements for your particular category.
The motorcycle driving theory module included in the course package will help you prepare for the motorcycle driving license theoretical test. This is a crucial element of your education and will allow you to pass the test. The theory test is a written test and consists of 40 questions and two clips of hazard perception. To pass the test, you must be able to answer at least 28 of 40 questions correctly.
The eas test should be scheduled for a month prior to the date you reach the age requirements for the license category you are training for. The test must be conducted with an approved DVSA tester. If you do not pass your test at the first attempt, you'll have to wait at least two weeks before taking it again.
We request that you pay any outstanding balance if you haven't passed your theory test before you start your eas course. This is to ensure that another student from gaining the reserved seat on this course. If you are unable to complete the theory test on the date stated in your training schedule, we are unable to schedule any DVSA test for you as a resit, and you will need to pay the appropriate fee for resit at the time of booking.

Practical
In addition to the theory course, motorcycle driving courses comprise a number of practical classes. These are the main parts of your learning experience and can be spread out over several days or even longer, based on your requirements. This portion of the training will require a motorcycle. It is essential to select one that is easy to handle, not too fast or heavy. A good place to start is with a 50cc moped or scooter.
After you've completed your theory training, it's time to take the practical test. The test's practical component is divided into Module 1 and Module 2. The first section of Module 1 is an hour long road ride. The second section is an independent riding section lasting 10 minutes. You must complete both sections to obtain your licence.
You should practice basic motorcycle maneuvers, like the figure 8 slalom, and emergency stop, in order to prepare for the module two test. These skills will help you to understand what the examiner is looking for. Also, make sure that your bike is in excellent condition and that you have all the gear you need, including helmet, gloves, and jacket. Wear comfortable shoes and carry your driving license.
It's important to note that the pass certificate for a motorbike driving license is valid for two years. If you fail the test within that time, you'll need to go through the theory course again.
If you want to upgrade to a different vehicle category, you'll need to do Module 5. This is the advancement portion of the course that allows you to upgrade your license without having to go through the entire IBT program all over again. This course must be completed on the bike you plan to use, and approved by your instructor.
You'll need a motorbike that is road legal and has full-sized L plates front and rear, and mirrors. You'll also need to ensure that the motorcycle is appropriate for the test you're taking and you'll need an appropriate helmet and attire for the conditions.
Assessment
You must have completed the Initial Basic Training (IBT) before you can begin your training for your A1 motorcycle license. This is an eight hour course that teaches the necessary skills needed for safe riding. It is part of the RSA's Graduated Driver Licensing Scheme and assists in improving road safety. Once you've completed IBT the instructor will provide feedback and provide a suggestion on whether you're prepared for the next phase of training or not.
After you've passed the IBT test, your instructor will prepare you for the A1 practical test. The test will comprise two modules, and you must pass both of them to be able to get your license. Module 1 is off-road manoeuvres like controlled stops, a slalom and around cones. Module 2 is on-road and involves following a road with varied traffic conditions.
The Module 1 test is 20 minutes long and assesses your ability to perform off-road maneuvers, such as slow-speed rides or a figure eight. You'll be required to perform an U turn and an emergency stop.
If you pass the test in module 1 and 2 and passing the module 2 test, you'll be allowed to ride a motorbike that has up to 35 kW of engine power. This is the initial part of the full A license, which permits you to drive manual or automated motorbikes or scooters.
It's important to keep in mind that your A1 licence is only valid for two years. After two years, you will have to upgrade to an A2 license which will give you more freedom to drive.
A1 courses offer both theory and practical classes. The amount of practical training you receive will depend on your level of experience riding bikes. The number of classes varies from school to school. Make sure you sign up for the A1 course as soon as possible so that you can book both your practical and theoretical tests simultaneously. You will also need the necessary equipment, like the helmet and glove. Some driving schools provide the option of loaning equipment in the event that you don't have the necessary equipment.
Licensing
The Compulsory Base Training (CBT) is the first step towards getting a motorcycle licence. Once successfully passed, it enables you to legally ride on the road a bike with an maximum power of 35 kW. This can be anything from a moped up to the smallest scooter.

You must be capable of demonstrating the ability to handle and control the vehicle in a variety of situations, such as taking over, turning left or right, and changing lanes.
